About Enlightenment Day
An annual conference on enlightenment, consciousness and the wisdom traditions.
What the Enlightenment Day Conference is
The Enlightenment Day Conference, usually just called Enlightenment Day, is an annual conference about enlightenment, consciousness and the world's wisdom traditions. It is presented by Divine Illumination Institute and has been held every October since 2023, online and in London.
People who practise and people who study rarely share a programme. Enlightenment Day puts them on the same one. A yogi of the Nath tradition, a professor of Tantra, a physician and a computer scientist have all spoken at Enlightenment Day, to an audience that includes both the committed and the curious.
What we stand for
We are dedicated to presenting the ancient spiritual traditions in the right light: keeping their integrity, and bringing back wisdom that has been lost or misrepresented. The conference began with the Sanatana traditions of India and keeps them at its centre. It treats other faiths with the same care, and tells each tradition's story in that tradition's own terms.
How the conference has grown
- 2023: two days online, sixteen sessions, under the line Celebrating the Many Spiritual Paths to Enlightenment and Wellbeing.
- 2024: one online day and two days at The Nave in Soho Square, London. Themes: ancient wisdom tradition of India and consciousness, consciousness within and beyond, and connections.
- 2025: an online gathering, Awaken Your Inner Light.
- 2026: Saturday 10 October. Theme: Celebrating Enlightening Experiences.
